Sikh Games Federation of India

Sports which is an important part of an individual’s life. Sikh religion try its best to involve itself in each field but one thing which made us realised that a few number of children are involved in sports. For this we have had taken an initiative to encourage Sikh children all over the world to come forward in the field of Sports as well and pursue it as an option for Carrier. In 2018 we organised Delhi Sikh Games. We were overwhelmed with the response as around 800 children participated. Later in 2020, National Sikh Games were organised by our trust, children showed enthusiasm as around 1500 children participated from different countries which was held in Talkatora Stadium Delhi and in many other states. Again in 2021, Asian Games were organised as we were encouraged to see the growing numbers of children participating in the competitions from countries like Iraq, Singapur, Nepal, Bhutan and many more Asian countries. Considering the growth in this field we are organising Sikh Games again in 2025, where our main motive is to encourage more and more children to participate. We want children to get access to learn sports for which we will be inaugurating academies in Delhi. We will try our best to promote Sikh children to participate in games of their choice be it hockey, cricket, basketball, gatka and so on. Children will be trained for the competition which is going to be held in 2025 as World Sikh games are going to be happen for the first time in history. Our motive is that, around 50% of children belongs to Sikh religion but it doesn’t mean that no person from other religion can participate. We want to encourage all the children to participate in sports and pursue it as their carrier.
